Spring Storm – Marble Size Hail

About 9:15pm, we (Parker) were hit with a burst of high winds and then hail. First the wind slammed all the upstairs doors and blew the lamp off my DH’s desk, breaking the shade. Then hail and rain pelted against the windows as we scurried to close them. It didn’t last long. I don’t think we have any real damage. My DH is holding a few of the marble size pieces.

  1. We were visiting friends in an RV at the State Park when the hail hit. It really sounded loud in the RV! No damage, and just lasted a few minutes. Glad you got a pix of the hail.

  2. I’m just glad you weren’t sucked up in a tornado. From the look of that thunder cloud, it looked pretty (here) and nefarious (where you are).

  3. We heard it hitting the air shaft. Mom said, “It’s raining hard.” I said, “No, that’s hail!” Sure enough. Praise God there was no serious damage that I’ve heard of.An extra hard day today. Ran across your comment on one of my old posts!

  5. Wow Jan, I bet that was scary for a moment. I hate your DH’s lamp got broken in the process, but I’m glad you both are okay. Deb

  6. Wow! That must have been wonderful to see, but also a little un-nerving! Glad you didn’t get any damage! Wow!
