  1. Hi Jan – Thanks for visiting my blog!First I want to ask, is the weather out there cold and wild from the wind? Did you get power lost? I group of friends I talk to said they’ve been hit with it. Keep yourself warm out there!I hope you achieved all that you want/need to do, good luck! :)Julia – Yen

  2. Good morning Jan, I love how your Thursday Thirteen is so simple and to the point…I love a good book, blogging everyday and watching a movie at home with my own popcorn and a drink. Thanks for sharing and visiting my place today…Baba

  3. Coffee always is a good idea and after visiting Florida for a couple of days and thawing out, I am up for the cold for a few more weeks. 🙂 Your list is so cozy and nostalgic!

  4. Jan, Sounds like fun to be in Colorado!I want to encourage you to do a post about empty nest. Women need to get some good Godly advice and to know they are not alone. I realized that when I talk about it and blog about it it is kind of theraputic for me and seems to help. I guess it is good to get it out and to hear everyone’s comments. There are so many mom’s out there going through the same thing. I found it interesting when I looked up the term on Webster’s website that the term empty nest syndrome was “invented” (for a lack of a better word) in 1972! Isn’t that something. What did the women before that call it and how did they deal with it? Are we the only generation to really suffer with it?I would love to hear your opinion. Have a great evening! Sharon

  5. snuggle up with a good story! my favorite thing to do on cold wintery days. if not a book i’m reading then a story i’m writing or a DVD.thanx for visiting my room makeover pics

  6. right up my alley. You can also watch the thermometer rise and fall. Oh wait. It doesn’t rise — this year.

  7. Julia – the weather is so extremely varied out here from each city. We are more on the plains and get more severe weather sometimes, other times it misses us. Tonight it snowed, thundered and lightening and hailed all in the space of an hour. Thanks for stopping by my blog. 🙂
