Miracle Monday

Praise the LORD , O my soul;
all my inmost being, praise his holy name.
Praise the LORD , O my soul,
and forget not all his benefits-
who forgives all your sins
and heals all your diseases,
who redeems your life from the pit
and crowns you with love and compassion,
who satisfies your desires with good things
so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

Psalms 103: 1– 5

The Holy spirit is leading me to declare today Miracle Monday. Kristy Dykes, fellow writer, is having radiation on her brain today at 3:30 EST. Her husband Milton requests, “Please share the word with everyone who will join in prayer this Monday to eradicate through prayer that which cannot be killed by radiation.” Please stop whatever you are doing at this time and pray for her healing. God gave me the above verse for her- use it in your prayer. In addition to prayer, we are to praise God with singing and dancing for her life and the wondrous miracle he is going to perform.

My Breast Friend, Deena, is also going in for surgery on Wednesday, Dec 12th. We are asking God for her miracle as well. Deena’s verse is Malachi 4:2 (below). We need to fast for Deena. If you can’t fast food, TV, soda, coffee, whatever the Lord brings to your mind. As you pray, picture her leaping like a calf, full of health and vigor.

But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings. And you will go out and leap like calves released from the stall.

Malachi 4:2 (NIV)

We continue to praise God for eradicating our breast friend Kathi’s cancer; however, she still needs our prayers. She is back in the hospital with internal bleeding because of the extensive chemotherapy she’s endured over the past two years. Please pray for internal healing and restored strength.

“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the LORD

Jer. 30:17a

Please continue to lift up my breast family member, Sharon, who is still undergoing treatment for breast cancer.

Today was a very sombre day for us here in Colorado. Two shootings at churches and mission organizations we are familiar with. We actually live between the two locations. Several wounded are still in the hospital recovering. Please pray for their healing, both physically and emotionally. The New Life church, the largest in Colorado, has been through so much. Please pray for their congregation and pastoral staff.

The three victims were young adults, just getting started in life. Praise God, He received them instantly and they are singing His praises right now. However, there are three families grieving their loss today. What a terrible time to lose a loved one. Pray for comfort for these families.

God bless you for your participation in Miracle Monday.

If you are lead to pray for these women, please send them and email

or comment on their blog and let them know.

  1. I will be praying for everyone today. God Bless you today Jan. I am sorry about the shootings. How terribly sad. I am so thankful we have a Father in Heaven who hears our prayers. Love Sharon

  2. Jan, I have copied your post to print and put in my prayer journal. Thank you for the verses. The Word of the Lord does not return void but accomplishes all He commands. We know Pastor Brady Boyd, the pastor of New Life Church. He was pastor at our church before he was given the position of pastor there a few months ago. He has a pastor’s heart. The church chose wisely when they picked him as one with an anointing for healing and new life. We are praying for him to have wisdom and for him to walk at God’s pace. Did you see the interview with him? I was so proud, although not surprised, when he said if anyone needs counsel to call the main number of the church and a team would be available. “That is what a church does–offer hope and healing to the hurting.” That is his heart.I would also add:–pray for the security guard who shot the shooter. We have no idea what the emotional and mental impact for that was.–pray for the family of the shooter. Remember 4 people died. 3 were victims. One will be remembered for this act of wicked cruelty. That family will be just as confused and have just as many questions but will be less likely to see hands reaching out to them.

  3. Thank you for calling us all to prayer, Jan. I stand with you in this and cry out to our Abba Daddy. Blessed be His Name in the midst of suffering and doubt.

  4. My mother-in-law Blanche has breast cancer and has undergone a mastectomy and is going through chemo. Her doctors told her she may have to have the other breast removed also. She lives in South Carolina and doesn’t have much support there. Please pray for a healing and strength. Also pray that we know how to assist long distance.

  5. Good Morning Fellow Intercessors, I woke up in prayer today and I feel that God is going to move in a big way. Thank you Inspired, Kay,Sharon, Robbie, Nancy, and Jerri.Jerri- thank you for your insight. Yes, we need to pray for the security guard as it wasn’t easy to do what she did. Freedom from guilt and that she won’t be attacked for defending her church body. Pastor Boyd was amazing. I feel God placed him here for all the healing that is needed in New Life church body. Our church, Jubilee Fellowship, is closely associated with New Life. They mentored my pastor when our church was in its infancy. We now have 2,500 members and 5 services. We also have strong ties with WYAM. Many of our young people go into the ministry through them and our pastors daughter worked with them for many years. All the victims were so young and full of life. Such a loss.

  6. I am feeling a deep need to pray for the shooters family. Please join with me. They are believers and I know they are devastated by this terrible turn of events.

The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time. - Psalm 34:19
