Let It Snow!

This is my backyard Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch the snow as it fell. I waited until the afternoon, after we went out to lunch and shopped for Christmas decorations. After the first snow, I’m ready for Christmas. NOEL.

The aspens are just turning. They are one of the reasons we bought this house. I shot this about 3:00pm when nearly two inches had melted. That’s another cool thing about Colorado, the snow *knows* when to leave.

  1. You got more snow than we did, and it’s amazing that the Aspens are just now turning. I snapped shots nearly 3 weeks ago of the golden and yellow colors of the leaves. Of course, that was near Woodland Park, CO. Here in the Springs, the Aspens are still green. :)Such a wonderful, diverse landscape…even within the same town. How could anyone NOT love living here?

  2. I can’t believe that I am going to say this, but I am sad to see the first snow! I have enjoyed summer and fall this year like no other. But alas, winter is coming. I will just have to shoot some more winter pics. 🙂
